Florist at Work Editorial in Provence

As a behind-the-scenes feature of French floral designer, Laetitia C. Fleurs d’atelier, this editorial

was an opportunity to capture a true creative at work. Laetitia’s deep love for flowers and inherent

creativity is always reflected in her work, which is directly inspired by the beauty of Provence.

It was such a privilege to document her process, as she designed a romantic engagement dinner in

the courtyard of an ancient Mas (a traditional farmhouse found in Provence) nested within lavender fields.

For this design, Laetitia worked with a distinctly blue color palette, including hints of white to symbolize

true love, purity, serenity, intimacy. Delphinium flowers were used as the main floral as a symbol of new

beginnings. True to her methods, nearly every floral was foraged directly from the garden or the hills

surrounding the Mas. The resulting all-blue look made a stunning statement and reflected the

time-honored proverb, “marry in blue, lover be true.”
