Lake Como Destination Wedding at Villa d’Este

A moment of serendipity brought Katherine and Nicholas to their wedding venue on the shores of Lake Como.

While on an Italian getaway meant to relax and reconnect, they stumbled upon Villa d’Este, and the idea of a

destination wedding began to take shape.

The couple worked with Elena Pensini Events to plan their celebration, and chose to keep the details simple,

allowing the lake’s natural beauty to shine. Figli Dei Fiori, a local flower designer in Lake Como used lush hydrangea

and hundreds of candles to create an elegant and romantic aesthetic. As a personal touch, the bride designed

the invitations, programs, and menus, incorporating wax seals and calligraphy to mimic the old-world

atmosphere of Villa d’Este.

One of the couple’s favorite wedding day moments was their choreographed first dance to “Fly Me to the Moon”.

However, the biggest surprise of the night was the work-of-art wedding cake that took a total of four servers to unveil!
