Mediterranean Summer Wedding at Villa Erba

Inspired by the frescoed walls of Villa Erba in Lake Como, Julia and Mauro sought to bring color, life, and vibrancy

to their summertime wedding. The Switzerland-based couple chose a destination event on the Italian coast as a perfect

halfway point between their two families—not to mention the region’s incredible beauty.

Julia and Mauro worked with The Lake Como Wedding Planner with a “joyful and colorful Mediterranean summer party”

serving as their guiding vision. Villa Erba offered an epic background for the couple’s wedding. Not only was the villa a stunning,

ivy-covered castle-like structure, but the grounds offered multiple gardens and lawns for the couple to utilize on the big day.

Floral designer, Rattiflora used delphiniums, roses, spray roses, and dahlias in hues of peach, pink, and cream to decorate

the ceremony site—a garden on Villa Erba’s grounds. Following the ceremony, guests dined in the villa’s magnificent formal

ballroom, with vibrant food, florals, and music featured throughout the event.
